We realize that WoW is the most-played game in the lab, so we'd rather allow you to update it yourself rather than it being unplayable until we can do an update.

WoW Update
World of Warcraft has been updated to version 2.3.3 on the Macs. As far as the PCs are concerned, we've updated it in the latest image but the update did not appear to be entirely successful. You should be able to update it yourself. Since the PC team is so busy these days, we've enabled users to update WoW, so it will always be up-to-date. I have plans to do this for the Macs as well to avoid the "failed to apply patch" errors. Starting WoW from the launcher instead of running the executable directly should produce a smoother update process.

Thank you
Can you please update Warcraft 3:TFT on the mac's? Or enable user updates? Currently, you can't get on to battlenet.
hey, 2.4 has come out today, and some of the PCs don't have 2.3 on them, so the patch size is almost a gigabyte. could you guys give the PCs a final update, since there won't be anymore major patches for the rest of the school year and even later?
It took me almost an hour to play WoW today because of the new patch. Could you guys try to schedule in a permanent patch-up please?
Much appreciated.
Two things:
- the mouse on the third station from the left (from entrance) in the back is more or less broken. the left button is very hard to click.
- another free game suggestion: Trackmania Nations, found at www.trackmanianations.com
Thanks. I was wondering though, is it possible to get Word (not just the viewer) installed on the computers? Every once in a while (not often, but sometimes) I do want to do some work in between gaming, and it would be nice to be able to do it without moving somewhere else.
It would be great if the patches we spend time downloading did not waste time re-downloading on the SAME MACHINE every day that we use it. Can't they just remain permanently?
a patch to 2.4 has been released and it seems that none of the computer can be updated by a non-admin user. if some computers could be updated, or the settings changed, it would be greatly appreciated.
After this most recent Tuesday maintenance, all of the PCs are giving the 'Failed to apply patch' error- is it possible we can get them altered so that updating WoW manually is again possible?
The updater isn't recognizing the new patch or allowing it to be installed from one of the mirror sites, could you look into this please?
Please hook all the PCs up with the World Of Warcraft 2.4 updates. I have to spend ~20 minutes downloading the update every time I want to play.
Thanks!
Please update World of Warcraft on the PCs to at least version 2.4. I have to spend ~30 minutes downloading and installing the patch everytime I want to play.
Thanks!
There appears to be a problem with the PC's, I am unable to update WoW. It gives me the same message the Macs give when they are un-updated (failed to apply patch). Then I used the repair tool in the WoW folder and it found nothing wrong. So I tried to apply the patch manually but it wouldn't let me.
Please fix this!
PCs and Macs no longer have write access and so cannot download latest WoW patch. No one can play WoW.
2.4.2 patch = failed to apply patch?
